YOU DON’T FIND YOURSELF.
YOU DESIGN HER.
If you’re anything like I used to be, you’ve spent years becoming exceptionally good at being who you thought you needed to be.
Whether that’s the woman who handles it, fixes it, achieves it and holds the whole fucking thing together. Or whether it’s the extremely confident perfectionist.
And look. Perhaps that version of you has indeed done an amazing job, and got you more than a few ticks on society’s success metrics.
But you also need to know that she doesn’t automatically get to decide who you are next.
I work with ambitious women who absolutely know they’re meant for so much more, but have realised that creating what they want next isn’t simply about another strategy, goal or action plan. It requires an entirely different version of them at the helm.
This is identity design.
Deliberately deciding who you’re being next, then building from there.
You haven’t lost yourself. But you may have become very fucking good at being someone you’ve outgrown.
Somewhere along the way, you’ve learned who you needed to be.
Maybe she was successful. Independent. Easy. Ambitious. Sensible. Strong. Accommodating. High-performing. The one who didn’t need much. The one everybody else could rely on.
Whoever she was, you learned exactly what got rewarded and what didn’t. What made you acceptable to friends and family. What kept you safe. What earned approval, belonging, success, money or love.
And because you’re smart and capable, you got bloody good at it.
You built careers and businesses and families. You’ve built reputations too, and whole damn lives.
Until one day, perhaps nothing is dramatically wrong and yet something doesn’t quite fit anymore.
You want more. Or different.
You can absolutely see another version of your business, your life, your relationships or yourself.
And you’ve probably already tried changing what you’re doing in order to get this.
But that’s where most reinvention actually gets stuck.
Because you cannot sustainably create a different life while unconsciously remaining loyal to the identity that created the current one.
At some point, you have to edit the woman doing the creating.
IDENTITY ALWAYS WINS.
You can set the seemingly illogical goal, make the audacious plan, buy the course, hire the mentor, write the strategy and create the most beautiful fucking vision board known to Pinterest.
But if the identity underneath all of that still believes she needs to stay safe, prove herself, be liked, get it right, wait for permission or avoid being seen trying?
She’ll find a perfectly sensible reason not to do it.
And that isn’t because you’re lazy or because you don’t want it enough.
And it’s also probably not because you need yet another productivity system.
Whilst your goals may have changed, your identity just hasn’t caught up yet.
That’s what I call the identity gap.
My work is about closing it.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE WHO YOU’RE BEING NEXT, IT HELPS TO UNDERSTAND WHO THE HELL IS CURRENTLY IN CHARGE.
My work is built around what I call The Four Selves.
THE SOVEREIGN SELF
The you before the world got involved.
Before you learned what was impressive, acceptable, successful, feminine, sensible or expected. Your innate preferences, energy, instincts and way of being.
THE INHERITED SELF
The identity shaped by everything you absorbed.
Family. Culture. School. Relationships. Work. Gender. Success. Failure. Expectations.
All the invisible rules about who you should be and how life is supposed to work.
THE SURVIVAL SELF
The incredibly clever version of you who learned how to function within those rules.
She adapted. Performed. Achieved. Protected. Pleased. Controlled. Proved.
She isn’t the villain in this story. She probably got you through some serious shit.
But survival strategies have a habit of overstaying their welcome.
THE DESIGNED SELF
This is where reinvention becomes deliberate.
You stop asking Who am I really? as thought there’s one correct version of you buried somewhere waiting to be excavated.
Instead, you ask Who am I choosing to be now?
Not fantasy-you or Instagram-you.
But the woman whose standards, decisions, behaviours and way of moving through the world match what you actually want to create.
You don’t find her. You design her.
THIS ISN’T ABOUT BLOWING UP YOUR LIFE.
Unless, of course, your life genuinely needs blowing up.
They need a recalibration.
Between who they’ve learned to be and who they actually want to be.
Between what they say and the decisions they’re making.
Between their ambition and the identity currently trying to contain it.
Between the standards they’ve accepted and the standards they now want to live by.
This work can change a business.
A career.
A relationship.
Your relationship with money.
Visibility.
Leadership.
Boundaries.
What you tolerate.
What you ask for.
What you believe you’re allowed to want.
But underneath all of those things sits the same question:
Who are you being while you’re trying to create it?
That’s the work.
REINVENTION SHOULDN’T ONLY HAPPEN IN A NOTEBOOK.
I create experiences because there are some things you cannot think your way into.
Sometimes you need to get out of your normal environment, your usual roles and the noise of everyday life long enough to see yourself properly.
Sometimes you need a room where nobody needs anything from you.
A conversation that challenges the story you’ve been telling yourself.
People around you who aren’t invested in keeping you exactly as you’ve always been.
Space to think bigger.
And sometimes you need somebody to lovingly call bullshit when you’re doing it again.
My work combines identity design, challenge, conversation, practical action and beautifully considered experiences designed to change what happens when you return to real life.
Not transformation theatre.
Actual change.
THERE ISN’T JUST ONE WAY INTO THIS WORK.
You may need six weeks of implementation.
You may need private space to completely recalibrate.
You may need one concentrated day away from everything.
Or you may want to walk into a room full of people who are asking themselves the same bigger questions.
Choose the experience that matches where you are now.
THE QUEEN EDIT™
Private and personalised identity design for the woman ready for a deeper recalibration.
My high-touch 1:1 work for women who know something significant is changing, or needs to.
This isn’t about adding another set of goals to an already overloaded life. It’s space to look at the whole picture, understand the identity underneath it and deliberately design what comes next.
THE VIP EDIT™
One day. One woman. No BS.
A private, immersive identity experience designed around you.
Step out of the life, the business, the responsibilities and everybody else’s opinions for a day of deep thinking, honest conversation, decision-making and identity design.
Beautiful surroundings. Exceptional attention to detail. No generic agenda.
Just the space to work out what matters now and who you’re being next.
BE YOU NOW™
Because sometimes you need to get in the fucking room.
Be You Now is my live identity reinvention experience for founders and business owners who know building what’s next isn’t only about doing more.
Big conversations. Brilliant people. Identity, ambition, leadership, visibility and what it actually takes to become the person capable of creating what you keep saying you want.
And yes, we have some fun while we’re at it.
THE IDENTITY EDIT™
Six weeks. From knowing to being to actually doing.
A live six-week identity programme for founders and business owners who already know much of what they need to do next, but aren’t consistently doing it.
We’ll identify the gap between the business you say you want and the identity you’re currently operating from, design who that business requires you to be and create real-world evidence through how you actually show up.
THE EDIT CODE™
Insight is lovely. But eventually you’ve got to do something with it.
Understanding why you are the way you are can be incredibly powerful.
But awareness alone doesn’t change a life.
The EDIT Code™ is my practical reinvention methodology for turning insight into change.
E | ENERGY REHAB
Where is your energy actually going and what needs to change?
D | DO THE DAMN THING
Because at some point thinking, planning and preparing have to become action.
I | IDENTITY ALCHEMY
Deliberately designing and rehearsing the identity capable of creating what you want.
T | THOUGHT DETOX
Learning to recognise the thoughts, stories and old rules that keep dragging you back to who you’ve always been.
You don’t complete an EDIT and become “finished”.
Life changes.
You change.
What you want changes.
YOU EDIT AGAIN.

Coming Soon on 11 November 2026
What if the person you’ve spent your whole life trying to find is actually yours to design?
My forthcoming book is about identity, self-authorship and what happens when you stop allowing the woman you learned to be to automatically decide who you become next.
It’s for the woman who’s done everything she was supposed to do and is beginning to wonder whether she actually chose any of it.
For the woman who knows there is more in her, but doesn’t want another instruction manual for becoming “better”.
And for the woman who’s ready to stop waiting for some future version of herself to arrive.
Join the waiting list to be the first to hear about the book, launch and everything I’m creating around it.

THE REINVENTION ERA
Reinvention without the inspirational surface level stuff.
On The Reinvention Era, I talk about identity, ambition, self-trust, leadership, business, visibility, success, failure and the gloriously messy reality of changing your life while you’re actually fucking living it.
Some episodes are practical.
Some are personal.
Some will probably make you realise you’ve been telling yourself complete bollocks for the last ten years.
All of them are about one thing:
You are not required to remain who you’ve always been.
I’M SARAH ELIZABETH.
The Queen of Reinvention™. Identity Designer. Author. Speaker. And a woman who knows that reinvention looks considerably tidier in hindsight than it does while you’re living it.
I’ve rebuilt myself more than once.
Not because reinvention was part of some beautifully mapped-out personal brand strategy, but because life has repeatedly given me numerous turning points where the identity I’d been living from simply couldn’t take me where I needed to go next.
I’ve been the high-achieving corporate leader.
The woman who held enormous responsibility.
The woman who built a life around being competent.
And I’ve also been the woman forced to ask what was left when some of the identities I’d relied on no longer fitted.
That’s where this work came from.
But my work isn’t about making you copy my reinvention.
I’m not interested in creating another version of me. I’m interested in helping you create a version of you that is actually yours.
Today, my work brings together identity design, psychology, lived experience, practical experimentation and a healthy intolerance for the bullshit ways women have been taught to abandon themselves in pursuit of being acceptable.
I write.
I speak.
I host The Reinvention Era podcast.
I create intimate private experiences and rooms full of people asking bigger questions.
And everything I create comes back to the same belief:
You don’t find yourself. You design her.
NOT READY TO WORK WITH ME YET?
Good. Because I’m not interested in convincing you to buy something before it’s right for you.
But you can still come into my world anyway.
I’ve created a collection of free resources designed to make you think, question and probably challenge at least one piece of bullshit you’ve been carrying around as fact.
Start wherever you’re curious.
And if you’d rather have something useful land directly in your inbox, join my email list for my weekly writing on identity, reinvention, business and the stuff we’re usually thinking but don’t always say out loud.
You are allowed to change your mind about who you want to be.
YOU DON’T FIND YOURSELF.
YOU DESIGN HER.
